About the Role The Retail Design Project Coordinator is instrumental in enabling the delivery of Dyson’s premium retail environments across owned stores, high-profile events, and third-party retail spaces. This function serves as the essential bridge between the creative vision and technical reality, transforming high-level design concepts into actionable, real-world execution. Leveraging strong technical know-how and program management expertise, the role is responsible for translating designs into detailed fixture installations and developing precise planograms to ensure optimal product placement and a flawless consumer experience. The Project Coordinator owns the full, end-to-end execution of all retail programs and consumer events, managing timelines and coordinating seamlessly with external suppliers and agencies. Primary accountability lies in guaranteeing that every installation meets Dyson’s global standards for quality, compliance, and efficient operations. Main responsibilities include but not limited to:- Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and closure of major retail initiatives, including new store launches, large-scale fixture installations, and offsite event programs Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with the global retail strategy, securing key stakeholder buy-in and proactively managing timelines, budgets, and risk escalation Translate visual concepts and brand guidelines into precise, actionable technical fixture specifications and detailed installation briefs for contractors and partners Produce and manage comprehensive technical documentation, ensuring compliance with all building codes, accessibility guidelines, and Dyson brand standards Coordinate prototype development and on-site mock-ups, capturing feedback and refining specifications to achieve final design sign-off Partner with cross-functional teams (Category, Sales, Operations) to design and execute planograms, ensuring alignment with product strategy and maximizing commercial impact during all go-to-market (GTM) launches Develop and distribute clear store guides and playbooks for planograms, seasonal campaigns, and new product introductions, enabling consistent set-up across all retail locations Oversee in-store execution and conduct compliance reviews to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of all visual merchandising and planogram installations Manage all event logistics and technical requirements for in-store and offsite activations, overseeing venue setup, AV integration, and full health & safety compliance Handle event inventory and procurement, including ordering display products and managing offsite warehouse storage for all fixtures and assets Manage detailed run sheets and troubleshoot technical, logistical, or operational issues during live events, ensuring seamless execution and minimal disruption Own and manage day-to-day relationships with external suppliers, contractors, and event agencies, including the sourcing process, preparing RFPs, and negotiating timelines and deliverables Document and report on project and event outcomes, conducting post-implementation reviews to capture learnings and inform future process and design improvements for leadership and stakeholders About You We're looking for someone who brings genuine passion for Dyson products and an infectious, 'can-do' attitude. You're a creative, solutions-oriented thinker, constantly seeking innovative ways to tackle challenges. You excel at prioritising and expertly managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Crucially, you're comfortable conducting installations and project work outside of standard business hours to hit retail and event timelines while minimising disruption to store operations. Previous skills & experience:- Degree (or equivalent) in business or a related field Strong experience in project management within the retail or consumer products sector, focusing on retail development, fixture design, and execution Advanced skills in Smartsheet, Microsoft Excel, and the full Microsoft Office Suite.
