Workfast is seeking experienced Excavator Operators to join the earthworks and civil construction team on a major renewable energy infrastructure project in Merotherie, NSW . Pay Rate: $44.00 p/hr Overtime Super Location: Merotherie, NSW Hours: 6:30am start, 10–12 hour shifts Start Date: ASAP This is a long-term opportunity working on a Tier 1 solar project, performing detailed and bulk excavation, trenching, and site preparation to support large-scale renewable energy development. What You Will Be Doing: Operating 14t to 22t excavators for bulk and detailed earthworks Performing trenching, backfilling, topsoil respread, and loading trucks Conducting material handling and excavation for solar infrastructure Working safely around other plant, spotters, and civil crews Completing daily pre-starts and machine checks Supporting civil works and assisting the site team as required What You Need: RII Excavator Licence (RIIMPO320F – Conduct Civil Construction Excavator Operations) – Essential White Card (Construction Induction) Current Driver Licence and reliable transport Minimum 2 years’ experience operating 14t diggers on civil or infrastructure projects Proven safety record and ability to work in a team environment Additional plant tickets (Roller, Loader, Telehandler) advantageous Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test Benefits: $44 p/hr OT and Super Long-term work on a Tier 1 renewable energy project Consistent 10–12 hour shifts with early starts Supportive, safety-focused site environment Great opportunity for career growth in civil and renewable infrastructure About Us Workfast is a labour hire company partnering with some of Australia’s largest and leading civil and renewable energy contractors.
