The future is bright, offering endless opportunities to Grow with Lindsay's The Role: We are seeking a HC Delivery Driver to join our Lindsay Rural branch in Mareeba for local delivery work. This is a casual position, working various hours across Monday - Friday. During the current busy season, we have plenty of work to keep you busy and earning. This is a physically demanding position as you will be responsible for the safe and efficient loading, unloading & transportation of customer goods and merchandise to and from customer properties. Your main responsibilities will include: Deliver and unload merchandise to rural worksites. Assist in loading/unloading and load restraint as required to prevent freight movement and allow for safe transport Maintain logs of deliveries, obtaining signatures for deliveries made Communicate with warehouse or pickup point for any special instructions Interacting with customers in a professional manner, representing the company. In-store counter sales as required. About you: The candidates we are looking for will have: A current HC Licence as a minimum A current forklift licence Previous experience as a delivery driver ideally in a retail environment Always have a safety focus to ensure your safety, your colleagues and customers & public, along with an ongoing commitment to safe driving practices. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently Be well presented, professional and reliable. Experience in a rural worksite or engaging with rural clients is highly regarded. To be successful for this role applicants must: Pass a Commercial Drivers Health Assessment including drug and alcohol test Provide a current traffic print out Have the capability to meet the physical demands of the position - this includes getting in and out of the truck throughout the day; repetitive bending & lifting of rural merchandise when loading & unloading at the branch and on farm.
