At Beyond Boundaries Rehab, we do things a little differently. We believe in enabling life without limits - for our clients, and for our team. We’re on the hunt for two experienced Occupational Therapists (Grade 2) who are who want work that feels meaningful, stretches your skills, and reminds you why you became an OT in the first place. ð The Roles Permanent OT position – start ASAP Maternity Leave cover (Feb 2026 start) – Clinical Mentor role with opportunity to extend to permanent Both roles are mobile community positions across the Hunter / Newcastle region, working with a diverse mix of clients under NDIS, Lifetime Care, and other funding schemes. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team that thrives on collaboration, humour, and heart. ð¼ Who You Are You’re an experienced OT who’s confident, capable, and curious. You’ve probably been doing this for a while (around five years or more), but you still get that spark when a client hits a milestone or a new idea clicks. You love autonomy but don’t want to feel alone - you want a team that’s there when you need them, and trusts you when you don’t. You care deeply, think creatively, and know that real impact takes flexibility, humanity, and sometimes, a good laugh mid-session. 5 years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist Skilled across community, complex disability, neuro, or physical rehab (bonus points for iCare, AT, or paediatrics) A natural mentor who enjoys sharing knowledge Values-driven, client-centred, and not afraid to think differently ð What Makes This Role Different This isn’t a static caseload or cookie-cutter clinic job. We’re building a team that’s dynamic, flexible, and empowered to grow. You’ll have the chance to: Take on or learn iCare Case Management – with full training and mentoring Step into clinical mentoring and leadership opportunities Access specialist external supervision monthly – for consistent, neutral support Be encouraged to create, design, and implement new ideas or systems - tech, processes, programs - we love innovation Work in a culture where Carly’s motto rings true: “Everything is fixable.” You have permission to try, make mistakes, pivot, learn, celebrate wins, and go again. Contribute to the global profession through Taking Paediatrics Abroad - sharing your knowledge virtually, and if you stay long enough, enjoying an international volunteer stint fully funded by BBR ð¬ Culture You Can Feel We don’t just say we have a great culture - we measure it. Our Officevibe happiness scores have consistently sat between 8.5 and 9.1/10 for years (yep, even during the messy, changing times). Here’s what our team says: “When I’m faced with difficult life issues or family obstacles, our team is always empathic and offers support. Carly is compassionate and gives time to work through things without pressure.” “We always have a very ethical and positive direction with best practices for our clients.” “Being a soundboard, problem-solving together, and getting proactive help when needed - that’s what I love most here.” ð» How We Keep It Real At BBR, we walk the talk when it comes to work–life balance, growth, and joy. You’ll have clarity around expectations - but you’ll never be micromanaged. Team connection – Friday pub lunches, shared wins, group chats full of GIFs, and colleagues who actually like each other Leadership that gets it – • Carly – Founder & Director, OT with 15 years’ experience leading innovation in complex community rehab • Krystal – Clinical Lead OT, known for her calm, compassionate mentorship and unstoppable resilience ð Beyond Therapy – Our Social Impact BBR isn’t just about great therapy. It’s about building a world where everyone belongs - and where we give back to the communities that give so much to us. You’ll have opportunities to: Volunteer at the Children’s Christmas Party Newcastle, bringing Christmas joy to kids with disabilities ð Support the Newcastle branch of Wheelchair Sports for Kids, promoting inclusion, confidence, and fun through sport Get involved in the Newcastle Disability Expo - founded by Carly - helping families, providers, and people with disabilities connect with resources and possibilities Contribute to Taking Paediatrics Abroad, sharing knowledge with clinicians in developing countries (And if you’re with us long-term) join an international volunteer stint – fully funded by BBR And that’s not all. Carly is also the Founder of the Support Worker Association of Australia (SWAA) - a national movement changing the game for support workers across the country. SWAA advocates for better training, career pathways, and recognition for the support workforce - and you’ll have the chance to get involved in developing training content, workshops, and resources that make real change. Because no one wants to be stuck writing NDIS reports forever. At BBR, we actively seek opportunities for growth, creativity, and diversity in all our roles. ð Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging We celebrate diversity and welcome applicants from all backgrounds, experiences, and abilities.
