We are looking for an experienced Fire Protection Equipment Technician who is eager to grow their career and contribute to our reputation for excellence in quality and service. About the Role In this versatile position, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, and maintenance of a wide range of fire protection equipment and systems, including: Fire extinguishers Fire hoses, reels, and hydrants Fire blankets Exit and emergency lighting Fire and smoke doors You'll ensure all systems remain compliant, operational, and maintained to the highest standards, performing both testing and on-the-spot repairs when required. Key Responsibilities Install fire protection equipment and systems in accordance with industry standards and regulations. Inspect, test, and service fire protection equipment to ensure operational readiness and compliance. Identify, report, and repair faults in fire protection systems promptly. Provide expert advice and support to clients on equipment use, maintenance, and compliance. Maintain accurate inspection, maintenance, and repair records in the asset management system. Skills & Attributes Strong technical understanding of fire protection systems and equipment. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Safety-focused attitude and commitment to continuous improvement. Sound knowledge of Australian Standard AS 1851:2012 for fire equipment maintenance and exit/emergency lighting testing. Familiarity with Uptick Software (advantageous, but not essential).
