About Us Pullenvale Environmental Education Centre provide's full day excursions and professional development workshops for leaders and teachers. About the Role The Unit Support Officer position covers tasks in two focus areas and there may be the possibility of a role sharing arrangement for the successful applicant/s. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Focus Area 1: Program and Teacher Support Initial and daily set up and pack down of programs (including theatre spaces) Assistance with programs including delivering practical instruction and demonstration to students (under the supervision of qualified teaching personnel), prop construction and monitoring consumables Development and maintenance of natural and constructed learning areas Visitor coordination (eg. welcoming visitors, liaising with bus drivers and orientating contractors) Focus Area 2: Grounds and Facilities Maintenance and Improvement Maintenance and improvement of gardens, lawns, paths and some offsite forest areas used for programs Minor emergency and routine general repairs and maintenance of buildings Visitor coordination (eg. welcoming visitors, liaising with bus drivers and orientating contractors) The following skills and attributes are highly regarded: A diverse skillset to fulfil the responsibilities (as previously stated) Strong interpersonal and communication skills (experience or a willingness to learn MS SharePoint, Teams and undertake online professional learning as required) A willingness to take direction from team members and the initiative to suggest and action improvement The ability to self-manage the scheduling of required and routine tasks, and to work harmoniously in a team environment Additional details of your role: Please ensure you read the role description to see full duties of the role.
