About the role Temporary full time opportunity to deliver high quality, evidence-based Social Work clinical services within the Vulnerable Adults Team, working with consumers, their families, carers, and relevant stakeholders, in an inpatient setting. This position operates as a member of an integrated, multidisciplinary mental health team with a focus on the planning and provision of clinical care and therapeutic interventions within recovery and trauma-informed care frameworks. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: As a member of the multidisciplinary team, deliver competent level social work services to individuals and groups of consumers based on valid and reliable evidence, in accordance with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Code of Ethics, AASW Professional Practice Standards and mental health standards to ensure culturally appropriate consumer focused outcomes. Actively participate in the multidisciplinary team by providing routine social work advice and collaboration on the design of an integrated recovery strategy and care plan for vulnerable adults, brief therapeutic interventions and approaches, and management of referrals for ongoing treatment for consumers on discharge. Participate in the identification, development and implementation of clinical practices, procedures and protocols and other quality and service improvement and research activities that enhance the delivery of Social Work services within the inpatient unit setting.
