The Principal Data Engineer will co-lead the ongoing development and improvement of Sunshine Coast Health's Data Warehouse to support the organisation to make data driven decisions. The Principal Data Engineer role is located within the Data Warehouse Hub within the Business Transformation Unit (BTU) at Sunshine Coast Health. The BTU includes two key arms: Business Intelligence and Business Improvement. The Data Warehouse Hub sits alongside the Data Analytics Hub within the Business Intelligence arm of the BTU. Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north. Key responsibilites include: Co-lead and manage the design, development, enrichment, presentation and maintenance of data assets to enable health service planners to maximise value from data and build data-driven decision making into the organisation. Ensure the architecture and infrastructure underpinning the data assets is fit for purpose, optimised, adopts best practice principles, and designed for efficiency through the entire data journey including source-to-target data acquisition, modelling, ingestion, transformation, storage and access. * Undertake timely review of data sources and identify gaps in data and information to ensure data assets are always relevant, organised, well-defined and meets the needs of stakeholders to enable evidence-based decision making. Remuneration value up to $13 880 p.m., comprising salary between $5214.20 - $5595.80 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO7) (Fixed Term Temporary position for 6 months).
