As a foundation staff member, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the culture, values, and educational character of our College, from its inception. Role Overview As our Early Education School Educational & Operational Leader, you will: Lead pedagogical excellence and support Early Childhood Teachers through mentoring and model best practices. Guide development, implementation, and daily operation of high-quality programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS). Provide hands-on operational leadership including rostering, reporting, and seamless coordination of daily routines. Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework, maintaining a safe, nurturing learning environment. Initially, you will also contribute directly to the classroom as the College grows. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with educators to plan and implement engaging EYLF-based programs. Ensure documentation reflects children's learning, agency, and developmental progress. Monitor and ensure a safe, hygienic learning space. Conduct audits and enforce health, safety, and risk-management practices. Mentor, supervise, and coordinate educators, fostering professional growth. Manage staff rostering and orientation for new team members. Lead annual performance development processes. Establish respectful, supportive relationships with children. Support staff in managing challenging behaviours and upholding child rights. Foster strong partnerships with families and community stakeholders, promoting program engagement. Ensure practices align with NQF, NQS, and College policies. Guide understanding of EYLF, NQF, and NQS among staff. Engage with regulatory bodies and lead team meetings. Contribute actively to policy compliance, Quality Improvement Plans, and service evaluation. Operate professionally, supporting College leadership as nominated. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor of Education (ECEC) (or equivalent) or actively working towards it. Strong knowledge of EYLF and NQS, with experience designing inclusive, high-quality learning programs. Skilled in maintaining regulatory standards, health and hygiene practices, and risk management. Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust with children, families, and staff. Confident in resolving challenges and supporting continuous improvement in early education settings. Current Working with Vulnerable People (ACT) card. First Aid, including Asthma & Anaphylaxis training. Food Safety, Handling & Hygiene certification. Why Join Us?
