INTERNAL OPPORTUNITY Rides Mechanical Leading Hand – Day $52.95 per hour | Full Time Flex Agreement (Day) Movie World, Oxenford, Gold Coast The Opportunity Ready to lead the team keeping the thrills alive? As the leading hand of the Engineering team, you’ll be at the forefront of ride rebuilds and providing technical support for world-class rides, attractions, plant & equipment. Lead the quality assurance of rebuild components and assist with any updates to spare parts, OEM and SharePoint documents. Key Responsibilities Bring your leadership toolkit, you’ll be: • Facilitating and organising the rebuilds of rides to ensure compliance to OEM and VRTP standards. • Communicating with relevant trades teams to ensure any rebuild repairs and maintenance schedule are completed in a timely manner. • Mentoring, buddy training and assessing competencies of the ride mechanical trades people where required. • Actively look for ways to improve current processes/procedures to increase department efficiency. • Ensuring all work is carried out in safe manner as per VRTP procedures, report all incidents/accidents to the Engineering Supervisor. • Overseeing minimum stock levels for various rides, attractions and equipment to ensure inventory levels are maintained. What We’re Looking For Bring the skills that keep the thrills alive, You’ll bring: • Mechanical Trade Certificate required • Elevated Work Platform (EWP) License an advantage • Basic electrical safety awareness and understanding • Welding and fabrication skills would be highly regarded • Strong focus and sound understanding of Occupational Health and Safety requirements • Theme Park experience would be an advantage • Sound knowledge of rides and attractions & VRTP maintenance procedures/policies • Strong understanding of effective rostering and labour management • Forklift licence required • Manual drivers licence required • Knowledge of SAP and Maximo is highly desirable Applications Close: Sunday 2nd of November 2025 at 11:59pm.
