Townsville Grammar School is one of the original Grammar Schools of Queensland. The Year 7-12 campus is located on the original site at North Ward. The School also operates two Junior School campuses, both offering Pre-Prep to Year 6, at Annandale and North Shore. Townsville Grammar School is seeking an organised and proactive Administration Assistant to support the Director of Advancement and the Advancement team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of the Office of Advancement, which incorporates our Admissions, Marketing and Engagement functions. Responsibilities range from administration and office management to event support and stakeholder engagement. This is a varied position suited to someone who enjoys being at the centre of a busy office, working with a wide range of people, and ensuring everything runs efficiently and professionally. Key Responsibilities Provide administration and calendar support to the Director of Advancement. Assist the Head of Engagement, Admissions Co-ordinator, and Marketing Co-ordinator with day-to-day tasks. Coordinate and manage supplies, promotional stock, and office resources. Assist with event preparation, including signage, marketing materials, and collation of guest and enrolment tour bags. Maintain accurate records and ensure timely updates to school communication platforms (E.G. School App). Provide occasional reception/front office back-up when required What We’re Looking For Strong administration skills with experience supporting busy teams and managing calendars. Highly organised and able to juggle multiple priorities with attention to detail. Clear communicator with strong written and verbal skills. Confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable with digital tools (e.g. apps, displays, spreadsheets and databases). Team player with a flexible, ‘can-do’ attitude, willing to step in and help where needed. Professional, reliable, and committed to maintaining confidentiality.
