Description About the Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre We are a client-centred organisation, supporting the community throughout Barwon, Wimmera, and the South West regions, offering a range of specialist support services to people impacted by sexual and family violence, encompassing 24 hour crisis care, specialist response services, early intervention programs, Victims Assistance Program, Community Legal Services, trauma recovery programs, professional training and primary prevention initiatives. About The Role The Executive Director, Operations and Business Services (EDOBS) is a senior executive leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, systems, and infrastructure of the organisation. The EDOBS ensures operational excellence, efficiency, and effectiveness across all organisational functions, enabling high-quality service delivery and sustainable organisational performance. Working in close partnership with the Chief Executive Officer, the EDOBS translates strategic vision into operational reality, leading organisational systems, quality assurance, risk management, and continuous improvement. This role is critical to ensuring the organisation can deliver trauma-informed services at scale while maintaining financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, and a healthy workplace culture. Key Selection Criteria Essential Qualifications and Experience Your application must address the following: Demonstrated experience in managing complex operations in the not-for-profit sector, preferably community services, health, or social services Demonstrated experience and knowledge of delivering services to victim-survivors of family violence or sexual assault sector Proven track record in strategic planning, operational excellence, and organisational transformation Extensive experience in financial management, budgeting, and resource optimisation Strong background in quality assurance, compliance, and risk management Exceptional strategic thinking with ability to translate vision into operational outcomes Advanced understanding of trauma-informed organisational practice Expert knowledge of governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks Strong financial acumen and experience with budgets exceeding $[X] million Excellent change management and project management capabilities High-level stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills Experience with technology systems implementation and digital transformation Knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and best practice Understanding of quality frameworks and accreditation processes Further information regarding the role can be located in the Position Description Referees Applicants must provide the name and current contact details of 2-3 professional referees including the most recent or current supervisor. Period of Appointment The position is ongoing, subject to funding Hours of work The position is full time Location of the position is in Geelong with regular travel to regional services Hours will usually be worked during business hours of 9.00am to 5.06 pm between Monday to Friday. The days are based on the needs of the service. Flexibility in working hours will be required from time to time as the need arises. Salary Packaging: Provided via Maxxia. PBI status with other expenses available to package above this cap. The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre is a Public Benevolent Institution. Superannuation: The employer will also make superannuation payments on your behalf in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act 1992.
