This pivotal role ensures our people and partners are effectively aligned to project demand, balancing internal capability, subcontractor engagement, and future workforce needs. Reporting to the Director of Talent & Capability, you’ll have the ability to shape the approach and lead the resourcing team to effectively forecast resource needs, drive utilisation, and enable proactive internal mobility. Your analytical insight and ability to influence will help shape how Nova plans and delivers its projects across Defence, Engineering, and Digital Services sectors. This role will suit someone with experience leading resourcing or workforce planning in a consulting, project delivery, or Defence environment. You will enjoy developing new approaches and frameworks and be able to combine and analyse data, generate workforce insights and build highly effective stakeholder relationships, to bring people from across the business together to achieve best for business outcomes. What You’ll Be Involved With Lead Nova’s enterprise resource planning function, providing insights on capacity, demand, and utilisation. Partner with Finance and Business Leaders to forecast resource needs aligned with pipeline activity. Analyse workforce trends to improve utilisation and productivity. Oversee the deployment of internal consultants and subcontractors across projects. Drive an integrated and consistent approach to resourcing and workforce visibility. Strengthen subcontractor partnerships and ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding. Support bids and tenders with accurate, timely resourcing planning inputs and advice. Collaborate with People, Commercial, and Project teams to align resources to business priorities. Promote internal mobility and workforce development opportunities. Provide clear reporting and recommendations to senior leaders on utilisation and workforce trends. What We Would Like From You Demonstrated experience managing resourcing planning and deployment in a matrixed, project-based, or consulting environment. Proven ability to build highly effective relationships and influence decision-makers to drive effective resourcing outcomes. Experience in establishing new processes, tools and ways of working, and educating people on how to leverage them. Strong understanding of utilisation metrics and workforce productivity drivers. Advanced analytical and reporting skills using Excel and resource or project management tools. Skilled stakeholder engagement across all organisational levels. Familiarity with professional services automation tools (e.g. Resource Management or ERP systems. Experience in workforce modelling and planning to support bids and business development. Tertiary qualifications in Business, HR, or Project Management (Defence sector experience desirable). Australian citizenship with eligibility for AGSVA Security Clearance.
