As Skilled Trades Assistant, you will be experienced in working in an industrial environment and you will have knowledge and skills working across a range of equipment, working in an autonomous and self-led manner, alongside specialists on challenging projects. Your range of experience and operator qualifications will enable you to be an integral member of our team . You'll play a critical role in maintaining, overhauling and repairing heavy equipment while ensuring our workshop operates efficiently and effectively. You’ll be involved in an interesting array of work, across a diverse range of customers and work types, including: Mobile heavy earthmoving equipment, including truck components and wheel motors Fixed plant, including Washplant and conveyor motors and components Field equipment, including Draglines Rail equipment, including bogies, traction motors and diverse rail componentry Key responsibilities: Proven experience in fault diagnosis and repair within heavy machinery Experience in disassembly and assembly of complex equipment and machinery Demonstrated work ethic and keenness to work as a member of a team Skills in organizing and planning work to ensure smooth operations, looking ahead to resolve challenges before they arise Keenness to work in a self-led environment , where you have a say and input to the work you do, supported by a depth of technical support from our Project Leads and Engineering Teams Experienced in and holding current High Risk Work Licences for: Dogging Basic Rigging Forklift Operation About you: To excel in this role, we’re looking for someone who brings the following skills and attributes to the table: Valid Driver's License (mandatory). HR Truck License (desirable but not essential). Experience in applying protective coatings/paint; and Experience in packaging equipment for transportation are also favourable.
