Workfast is currently seeking a hands-on Warehouse Manager / Stock Controller to join our client’s Defence Operations team in Seven Hills. Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 per annum (including Superannuation) Hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday Location: Seven Hills, NSW This is a great opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional to take ownership of setting up and managing a new warehouse operation on site. You’ll be responsible for establishing the layout, organising stock locations, implementing inventory control systems, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the warehouse and factory floor. You’ll play a key role in creating an efficient, safe, and well-structured warehouse that supports production and supply chain activities across the business. What’s on Offer Competitive salary package ($90,000–$110,000 inclusive of super) Permanent full-time role, Monday to Friday Based in Seven Hills, NSW Opportunity to establish new warehouse systems and layout from the ground up Join a respected Defence and manufacturing company Supportive, safety-focused, and team-oriented workplace Long-term position with room for growth and development What You’ll Need Proven experience in warehouse, stores, or logistics management roles Experience in setting up or reorganising warehouse operations highly regarded Strong knowledge of stock control, inventory management, and materials handling Proficient with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Sound understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements Current Forklift Licence (LF) and Driver’s Licence Certificate III or higher in Warehousing, Supply Chain, or Logistics (desirable) Full Australian working rights Ability to pass pre-employment Police, Drug & Alcohol, and Medical checks What You’ll Be Doing Set up and organise new warehousing operations on site, including layout design, racking, and workflow optimisation Develop and implement efficient stock control systems across the warehouse and factory Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and dispatch Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stocktakes Source and purchase parts, materials, and consumables to meet operational needs Raise purchase orders, track deliveries, and follow up with suppliers Operate forklifts and safely move materials and components Ensure all goods are checked, stored, and recorded correctly Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with safety and quality standards Work closely with production and procurement teams to support manufacturing schedules Drive continuous improvement in storage, material flow, and inventory accuracy About us Workfast is a labour-hire company working with some of Australia's largest companies.
