Provide technical advice and provision of results to Queensland Children's Hospital and external clients relating to Chemical Pathology, Point of Care Testing (POCT), Molecular testing and Stat microscopy in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under 'your key responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge and technical judgement in chemistry and immunoassay investigations, stat microbiology and molecular testing in a clinical pathology laboratory. Demonstrated ability to provide technical advice and provision of results to laboratory staff and Hospital and Health Service clients pertaining to chemical pathology, microbiology and point of care. Demonstrated ability to provide technical services in accordance with professional clinical standards, established principles / procedures and comprehensive operation and maintenance of analytical equipment. Demonstrated ability to work within a team to contribute to the objectives of the laboratory. Demonstrated ability to contribute to quality and service improvement activities in accordance with National Association of Testing Authority/International Standardisation Organisation (NATA/ISO) accreditation / certification.
