The Mental Health and Specialised Services (MHSS) Crisis Support Space (CSS) offers a therapeutic, supportive, and non-clinical environment for individuals experiencing sub-acute mental health crises. The CSS is purposefully designed as an alternative to the Emergency Department (ED) setting, it provides timely access to both peer-led and clinical support. This model aims to reduce the reliance on ED services for mental health presentations, while fostering a compassionate and person-centred approach to crisis care. By providing a calm and home-like environment, the CSS facilitates an effective response to mental health crises and contributes to improved service delivery and outcomes. As a highly functioning multidisciplinary team member, deliver high level social work, psychology, occupational therapy clinical services and leadership across one or more specific work units, to stakeholders/customers of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service and Queensland Health. Key Responsibilities include: Deliver independent high level social work, psychology, occupational therapy clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence. Provide high level clinical advice, education and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to professional operational teams and relevant stakeholders regarding service delivery. * Provide leadership oversight and clinical practice supervision to less experienced social work, psychology, occupational therapy practitioners and students as delegated. Remuneration value up to $157,359 p.a., comprising salary between $128,169- $137,918 p.a. (f/t), or salary rates: $64.64- $69.55 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (full time and/or part time position available, hours negotiable).
