Reporting to the Manager (Procurement), this is a permanent, full-time position and can be performed from any of our RoadTek office locations (Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Toowoomba, Warwick, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast or Brisbane CBD). RoadTek is a commercial business within the Department of Transport and Main Roads. We provide transport infrastructure solutions for projects across Queensland. In the role of Advisor (Procurement) you will provide a high level of procurement advice and support to RoadTek Business Units and the Office of the General Manager (RoadTek). Accountabilities include:- Deliver assigned work and provide accurate procurement advice and information in alignment with departmental procurement policy and processes.- Monitor and review end to end procurement activity implementation including procurement planning and documentation, evaluation and supplier negotiation, contract documentation, supply arrangements establishment and maintenance.- Provide accurate and professional advice and support to RoadTek staff regarding end-to-end procurement activity.- Contract management including planning, contract administration, and reporting.- Contribute to the identification and implementation of initiatives to improve procurement processes and activities.- Coordinate the services of RoadTek procurement officers to ensure that business outcomes, performance indicators, project deliverables and deadlines are achieved using relevant methodologies. Mandatory qualifications and conditions - Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role. Desirable Requirements- Professional certification in procurement.
