The primary responsibility of the Pedagogy Coach is to identify and enhance teaching pedagogy and practices in line with the College's strategic direction, with a focus on improving student learning outcomes. Working with the college executive and middle leadership team and teaching staff, this position is responsible for providing targeted coaching and mentoring to teaching staff to encourage consistency in pedagogy and practices across the College. Your role: Have strong Essential Skills for Classroom management (ESCM) knowledge and skills to support teachers at all stages of their career. Provide coaching and guidance to classroom teachers in delivering high impact teaching strategies and explicit instruction including modelling best practice in the classroom. Lead strategies to maximise student engagement and achievement aligned to the college's Explicit Improvement Agenda outlined in the Annual Implementation Plan. Work closely with the HOD T&L to lead teachers in the college's pedagogical approach, plan resources and support materials as part of the Learning and Teaching Team. Participate in collegial engagement, undertake classroom observation and feedback across the school to support teachers to build the pedagogical capability of an expert teaching team. Use data to track, inform and support participation of pedagogical coaching across the college. Build leadership capacity by providing teachers with professional development and by promoting evidence-based communities of practice. Provide discipline knowledge and advice to school leadership teams fundamental to enacting pedagogy that meet specified targets. Work with other leaders to prioritise whole school pedagogy within the school's curriculum framework. Participate in relevant networks as negotiated with line manager.
