About the roleAs a Senior Lawyer at Metro North Health, you will provide expert legal advice on medico-legal, health law, and governance matters. You'll support staff across the service on complex legal issues, litigation, and compliance while contributing to proactive risk management and legal education initiatives. Key Responsibilities Provide legal advice on medico-legal and health law issues, including consent, confidentiality, and treatment without capacity. Manage and support legal proceedings, including personal injury and negligence claims. Advise on compliance with the Human Rights Act 2019 (Qld) and other relevant legislation. Liaise with external legal counsel, government bodies, and regulatory agencies. Deliver legal training and guidance to Metro North Health staff to enhance awareness and compliance.
