Title:- Safer Gambling Compliance Specialist Location:- Western Suburbs Length:- Permanent Role Purpose The Opportunity We are seeking a motivated and values-driven Responsible Gambling Advisor to join the Legal and Risk team on a full-time, permanent basis. This Sydney-based hybrid role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by helping shape responsible gambling practices across the organisation. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Risk, Compliance and Responsible Gambling, you will play a key role in delivering and strengthening the organisation's Responsible Gambling Framework. You will work closely with venues, Responsible Gambling Officers and Venue Managers to embed harm minimisation strategies, uphold regulatory standards, and promote ethical, community-focused gaming environments. This is an opportunity to combine compliance knowledge with purpose-led work that supports the wellbeing of patrons and communities. What You'll Be Doing Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of the Responsible Gambling Framework and supporting policies Ensure responsible gambling practices align with regulatory and legislative changes, including ILGA, L&GNSW, and the NSW Roadmap for Gaming Reform Provide day-to-day advice and guidance to operational teams, Responsible Gambling Officers and Venue Managers on incident management and best practice Manage self-exclusion and readmission processes in accordance with internal procedures Support venue-based compliance reviews, incident register accuracy and harm minimisation initiatives Coordinate internal and external reporting, including dashboards and audit activities Assist in the design and delivery of Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) and Advanced RCG training programs Create and maintain communication tools and digital learning materials to raise awareness among staff and patrons Contribute to management and board reporting by analysing incidents, performance metrics and improvement opportunities Partner with internal stakeholders and external organisations such as GambleAware, regulators and industry bodies About You 3-4 years' experience in compliance, risk, gaming operations or community engagement (hospitality, club, online gambling or casino experience highly valued) Current RCG/ARCG certification, or the ability to obtain these Strong understanding of NSW Responsible Gambling legislation and harm minimisation principles Confident communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence across teams Experience delivering or facilitating training and mentoring sessions High professional integrity, discretion and sound judgement Excellent organisation and analytical skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities Proficiency in Microsoft Office; exposure to GRC systems, Power BI or compliance tools will be advantageous What's in It for You Hybrid working model - 2 days in the office per week Flexible working options to suit your lifestyle Onsite parking Discounted gym memberships and access to a fully equipped fitness centre and pool Discounted swimming lessons for employees' children Training and professional development opportunities Meal card and discounted onsite dining Corporate health insurance discounts Employee Assistance Program Lifestyle, wellness and retail discounts Reward and recognition initiatives - plus the chance to genuinely make a difference in the community If you would like more information please contact Sarah Brown Sarah.brown@talentweb.com.au
