Full time permanent role Competitive salary based on experience Work location: Brisbane, Australia Visa sponsorship can be considered Supportive and collaborative team culture Opportunity to work on a diverse range of tasks and projects PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: As a Consulting Arborist , you’ll play a pivotal role in providing arboricultural assessments, impact assessments, and management advice that enable clients to secure timely environmental and development approvals while ensuring the protection of trees and associated habitats. This role delivers high-quality technical outputs, builds trusted client relationships, and contributes to the organisation’s reputation for excellence in urban tree management and environmental consulting. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Conduct tree surveys, arboricultural assessments, and prepare clear, compliant technical reports, tree protection and management plans. Provide expert advice on tree health, risk assessment, root mapping, and management strategies. Convert field-survey data into decision-ready outputs—plans, spreadsheets and high-resolution GIS maps—that accurately, precisely and coherently display tree locations and impact zones, enabling clients and assessors to grasp key findings at a glance. Liaise with clients, regulators, and contractors to ensure timely approvals and high-quality project delivery. Undertake on-site pre-construction, construction and post-construction tree-related activities. Undertake landscape construction activities (from time to time), including revegetation works, maintenance and weed or plant control. Deliver projects within approved budgets through accurate estimating, proactive cost tracking and early scope-creep control. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: AQF Level 8 or higher in arboriculture or related discipline. Advance expertise in one or more of the following: Tree condition and health assessment; Tree risk assessment; Root investigation and mapping; Geographic Information System spatial analysis and mapping. Professional membership (or eligibility) to be a member of an Arboriculture association.
