Are you a strategic leader passionate about improving health outcomes in remote communities? We are seeking a dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead operational excellence and drive impactful service delivery across the organisation. This role is based in Katherine and relocation assistance is available for the successful candidate. About the Role: As COO, you will work closely with the CEO to translate strategic vision into operational success. You’ll oversee day-to-day administration, lead multidisciplinary teams, and ensure services are delivered efficiently, sustainably, and in alignment with the organisation’s mission and values. Key Responsibilities: - Lead operational planning, systems implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives - Ensure compliance with legislation, accreditation standards (ISO, RACGP, NDIS), and internal policies - Drive workforce development, performance management, and a culture of safety and accountability - Collaborate on financial planning, resource management, and capital investment strategies - Represent the organisation in strategic partnerships and advocate for health equity What We’re Looking For Essential: - Tertiary qualifications in Business, Health Administration, or related field - 5 years in executive leadership within health or community services - Strong understanding of Aboriginal primary health care and cultural competence - Proven operational leadership, financial acumen, and stakeholder engagement skills Desirable: - Experience in Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations or remote health services - Knowledge of ISO, NDIS, and RACGP standards - Postgraduate qualifications in leadership, health management, or governance Compliance Requirement: - NT Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) - National Criminal History Check (within 12 months) - COVID-19 vaccinations per NT Health Directions - Current NT driver’s licence Salary and Benefits The base salary for this role starts at $180,000 and can be negotiated depending on experience and qualifications.
