About the Role The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth through identifying new opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and supporting the expansion of radio and critical communications networks. These networks play a vital role in keeping emergency services, utilities, and other essential sectors connected and operational. The role involves promoting and developing solutions based on radio technologies, as well as integrated IP and broadband communication platforms. You will work closely with technical teams, end users, integrators, and channel partners to develop tailored solutions that meet operational and commercial needs. Key Responsibilities Identify and pursue new business opportunities across public safety, utilities, transport, and critical infrastructure sectors Promote and position advanced radio and communications solutions Build and manage a strong pipeline of accounts through strategic engagement and long-term relationship management Partner with engineering, pre-sales, and delivery teams to shape solutions that align with customer requirements Represent the organisation at industry events, customer meetings, and tender presentations Contribute to strategic sales plans, market intelligence, and revenue growth strategies Support tender responses, contract negotiations, and commercial discussions Skills and Experience Proven track record in business development or sales in the telecommunications, radio, or critical communications industry Strong understanding of P25, TETRA, or DMR networks and their role in mission-critical communications Experience engaging with government agencies, emergency services, utilities, or enterprise customers Ability to work collaboratively with technical and delivery teams Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills Self-starter with a commercial mindset and ability to drive deals from prospect to close Background in telecommunications, ICT, or related technical sales (preferred) Why This Role Matters Critical communications networks are the backbone of emergency response, safety, and essential infrastructure.
