About the role: Reporting to the ICU Nursing Director, this role is responsible for overseeing recruitment activities, staff orientation and roster coordination, manage team performance through reviews and development programs, and ensure equipment and stock procurement while maintaining excellent customer service standards. This leadership role involves balancing work allocations across team portfolios and fostering a collaborative team environment in our critical care setting. Duties for the role will include: Ensure the effective management of human, financial and physical assets through appropriate planning and allocation of resources to achieve agreed Division / Unit / Ward / Service and strategic plans, Providing emergency relief of all uncovered shifts with minimal notice and/or finding a suitable resolution ensuring that the Unit is adequately resourced to continue to provide adequate administrative support to the ICU, Resolving issues within a day-to-day environment for which there may not be clearly established procedures, Providing line management of Administration Staff by coordinating rosters and leave; providing feedback to staff on work performance and maintaining a team environment, Undertaking the Performance Review and Development process for staff reporting to the position, identifying training opportunities and supporting staff to gain further skills to enhance both their own development and the function of the Unit, Preparing duty and leave rosters ensuring compliance with award and enterprise agreement requirements, Monitoring work output, counselling staff and managing unsatisfactory performance as appropriate About you: Proven sound management and leadership skills, High level organisational skills, Negotiating and conflict resolution skills, Ability to foster co-operation within a team environment to garner support to achieve desired outcomes, Recent experience working within an administrative area, preferably within a health setting, Proven experience in computing skills, Outlook, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Experience in managing staff performing a range of clerical duties and tasks, Proven experience in the provision of office administrative services, particularly to senior staff, Experience establishing, maintaining and improving office administrative systems and process, including financial and record keeping systems Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.
