Our philosophy is that every person should be afforded dignity and respect and that no one should be without a safe, affordable, and secure home. We provide services and supports to adults, and families with accompanying children in the form of accommodation, case management, assertive outreach, financial assistance, community connection and referral services. About the role As a Housing Support Worker, this is your opportunity to provide case management to people who are homelessness or at risk of homelessness. Reporting to the Support Services Team Leader, this is a permanent full-time role, located in Geelong, VIC. How you will make an impact Conduct thorough client assessments and develop holistic case and housing plans while coordinating supports and linking clients to community and vocational services Provide client-focused case management through advocacy, outreach and delivery of services that align with the National Homelessness Stream Model of Care Manage client intake, orientation, induction and exit planning to ensure consistent and effective support Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time including case notes, data entry, reports and record management Contribute to a positive and safe team environment by attending meetings, following OHS standards and supporting team activities What you will bring A Tertiary qualification in Social Work or a related field and/or substantial experience Demonstrated experience in working with vulnerable people presenting with challenging behaviours Ability to encourage and cooperate with others to achieve common goals Acknowledgement and responsiveness to diversity of experiences, perspectives, values and beliefs A current VIC drivers licence and an employee Working with Children’s Check What we offer Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free $2,650 meal entertainment benefit Generous Paid Parental leave for primary (12 weeks) & secondary carers, Purchased Leave Scheme (up to 8 weeks) and 5 days paid leave per year to experience working in other TSA programs or activities Access to EAP and health & wellness initiatives incl Fitness Passport Ongoing training and development opportunities that enhance on the job skills and proficiency Rewarding and fulfilling purpose driven careers that have positive and sustainable / social impacts Conditions Compensation is in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award Level 5.
