About the role: As the Social Events and Activities Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for planning, organising and delivering a varied calendar of social events, outings and activities that meet the diverse needs and interests of our clients. Working closely with our dedicated volunteers and staff, you’ll ensure programs are person-centred, inclusive and aligned with the Aged Care Quality Standards. You’ll also play a key role in promoting participation, supporting volunteers, managing program administration, and representing People Who Care positively within the community. Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive activities, outings and social events. Encourage client participation and collect feedback to continuously improve offerings. Support, motivate and celebrate our amazing volunteer team. Manage program records, budgets and reporting requirements. Build relationships with local services, community partners and suppliers. Ensure all events and activities are delivered safely, respectfully and in line with organisational values and policies. What you’ll bring: Experience or interest in planning and running social activities, community or aged care programs. Strong people and communication skills, with a caring and respectful approach. Ability to motivate and support volunteers and small teams. Organisational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Confidence using computer systems and managing basic administration and budgets. A current driver’s licence Police Check NDIS Worker Screening Check Qualifications in Event Management, Aged Care or Community Services (or equivalent experience) will be highly regarded but not essential.
