Join us in our mission to set new standards in the meat industry. The Role: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Quality Assurance Manager to oversee and enhance our quality control systems. The ideal candidate will ensure that all our products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. This role is critical to maintaining our reputation for excellence and driving continuous improvement across our operations. Key Responsibilities: System Development & Management: Plan, establish, implement, and maintain an integrated Quality Management System that meets HACCP, AI, and other regulatory and customer requirements. Compliance & Auditing: Organise and lead internal audits, and manage all external audits (regulatory bodies, customers) to ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant standards. Process Control & Improvement: Monitor critical control points across production, analyse quality data, lead root cause analysis investigations, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. Policy & Documentation: Develop, review, and update quality policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure their ongoing suitability and effectiveness. Supplier & Customer Management: Liaise with suppliers and customers on quality-related matters, evaluate and approve suppliers, and conduct regular performance reviews. Team Leadership & Training: Lead and mentor the Quality Assurance team, and provide quality awareness training to staff across production and other relevant departments. Management Reporting: Report on the performance of the quality system to senior management, including analysis of key quality metrics and recommendations for improvement. About You: A bachelor’s degree in biology science, Agriculture, or a related field. Proven experience in a quality assurance management role within the meat or food processing industry. In-depth knowledge of HACCP, Australian Inspection Standards (AI), and relevant food safety regulations. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive change effectively. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills with a meticulous attention to detail. Proven experience in managing internal and external audits.
