The Officer Project Support DRFA Program provides essential administrative, procurement, and contract administration support to the Flood Recovery Team within the Infrastructure Services Directorate. The role plays a key part in ensuring effective and efficient support across project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and financial processes, with a strong emphasis on customer service and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. Essential Knowledge & Skills: Demonstrated interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with the ability to consult, communicate and problem solve effectively in a multidisciplinary environment within set guidelines. Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to produce high quality documents with attention to detail. Demonstrated knowledge of office procedures including time management, planning and organisational skills to maintain deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team in a professional and positive manner with the ability to be tactful and discrete when dealing with matters of a sensitive nature. Queensland ‘C’ Class driver’s license or above that is current and maintained. Essential Requirements: Provide general administrative support, including word processing, data entry, report preparation, correspondence, records management, and development of standard operating procedures. Assist in the coordination and delivery of special projects related to disaster recovery and infrastructure programs. Deliver professional and responsive customer service to both internal departments and external stakeholders. Review and analyse invoices, supply panel rates, cost allocations, and contract terms and conditions to ensure accuracy and compliance. Prepare, reconcile, and record financial transactions using Council’s online requisitioning and financial systems. Liaise with external funding bodies, including the Queensland Reconstruction Authority (QRA), to support compliance and reporting requirements.
