Position Overview We are excited to announce the opening of our brand new Excel Centre set to open at the end of January 2026 . This beautiful new service will feature four rooms, providing a warm and engaging space for children to learn, grow, and thrive. We are seeking a passionate Centre Cook to join this foundation team, catering for 78 children across four beautiful learning rooms. In this role, you’ll design and prepare nutritious, child-friendly meals that meet dietary requirements and inspire healthy eating habits. This is for a Part Time role, 8:00am - 3:00pm, Monday to Friday. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact in a Centre still in its early days supporting children’s wellbeing through food while being a valued part of a collaborative, passionate team. Responsibilities Plan and prepare fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for up to 78 children daily. Cater to a variety of dietary needs, allergies, and cultural preferences. Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organisation. Collaborate with educators to promote healthy eating and nutrition education. Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members. Order, manage, and rotate stock efficiently. Qualifications and Skills Experience as a Chef/Cook, ideally in childcare, school, or similar environment. Certificate in Food Handling/Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (mandatory). Strong knowledge of nutrition for children. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Positive, team-focused attitude and commitment to children’s wellbeing.
