The opportunity: The Maintenance Stores Person is responsible for managing the maintenance spare parts and consumables inventory for the bakery's maintenance department. This role ensures accurate stock control, efficient purchasing, and timely supply of parts and consumables to support maintenance activities. The position involves use of SAP for purchasing, goods receipting, and inventory management, as well as forklift operations to transport parts and equipment around the site. Key Responsibilities: Inventory Management Conduct monthly stock takes and maintains accurate inventory records. Catalogue new spare parts into the inventory management system. Store received items in their correct location and ensure proper labelling and tracking. Monitor consumable stock levels and reorder as required to maintain adequate supply. Purchasing & Goods Receipting Raise purchase orders for spare parts, consumables, and maintenance-related items via SAP. Receive and check deliveries against purchase orders and invoices. Process goods receipts in SAP accurately and promptly. Logistics & Storage Arrange transport for repairable items to be sent off-site for servicing. Ensure parts and consumables are stored in a safe, organized, and accessible manner. Transport parts and equipment around the site using a forklift in compliance with safety procedures. Safety & Compliance Adhere to site safety, hygiene, and quality standards at all times. Ensure storage areas remain clean, tidy, and free from hazards. Follow all workplace procedures and comply with company policies. Key Skills & Attributes Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks. Good communication and teamwork skills. Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems. Knowledge of spare parts and maintenance consumables. Qualifications & Requirements Previous experience in stores, warehouse, or inventory control role (preferably in a maintenance or manufacturing environment). Current forklift licence.
