Job Description Reporting to the Site Operations Coordinator on a full-time basis this role would suit someone that wants to stay active and has an interest in the petroleum industry. Full on the job training will be provided. A day in the life of an Operator: Manage fuel receipts from ships into the terminal. Conduct routine inspections of site equipment to ensure optimal performance. Operate and monitor process equipment such as tanks, pipelines, pumps, truck loading equipment, instrumentation and control systems. Perform routine fuel quality control checks and testing. Support truck drivers with loading gantry activities including inductions, operating loading equipment, and solving any problems that arise. Manage ship bunkering (loading fuel onto ships). Communicate effectively with team members to plan the weeks activities and ensure they are completed safely and efficiently. Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and emergency response drills. Complete daily administrative tasks such as stock recording. Issue safe work permits to contractors to ensure maintenance work is conducted safely. On the job training will be provided to gradually build your skills and develop competence over time. Full competence is typically achieved after two years however your competence will be verified on individual tasks as each skill is obtained.
