The Role: If you are a registered Psychologist, we currently have an opportunity for you to come on-board as a Contractor 2 days per week. We have a burnout prevention caseload model, which includes a sustainable caseload, a focus on taking regular time-off, no appointments booked outside of your allocated hours and caseload monitoring to ensure caseload balance of mild to severe presentations. Essential Criteria: -Full registration as a psychologist or completion of a master of clinical psychology (registrars welcome) -Able to work autonomously part of a team with enthusiasm reliability -Excellent written oral communication skills -A professional, willing, flexible, open, collaborative, committed attitude -A warm, friendly, helpful, caring approach to go the extra mile -After hours availability for at least 2 sessions per week or able to work Saturdays -Able to develop and foster relationships with referrers and market yourself and the practice -Commitment to Personal Growth and Professional Development -Skilled and experienced (OR commitment to becoming so) with 3 or more of the following treatment modalities:- CBT, ACT, DBT, IFS, Mindfulness Based Therapies, Schema Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Compassion Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, Family Therapy, Relationship Therapy, EMDR or other evidence based therapies. -Workcover approved (or willingness to become approved) -Willingness to dedicate a percentage of sessions to vulnerable and low income clients under the Psychological Support Services program (PSS) Desirable Criteria: -Experience (or strong interest in obtaining) working with children, adolescents or couples and families -Experience and skilled (or strong interest in obtaining) at ADHD and/or ASD assessment and treatment -Interest in working with a trauma lens -Interest in working towards becoming a full time staff member and/or a Principal Psychologist with Maroubra Psychology Career Path: Maroubra Psychology, unlike many other private practices, offers a Career Progression Pathway to ensure you can continue to grow as a practitioner, have ample role diversity if desired, can step into leadership and management roles should you like to, and as such, actively progress your career within the industry and field.
