Job Title: Osteopath – Allied Health Team Location : 296-298 Malvern Road Prahran, 3181 Position Type : Contract About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Osteopath to join our dynamic allied health team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based osteopathic treatments to help patients manage and overcome musculoskeletal pain, improve mobility, and achieve optimal health outcomes. The Osteopath will work collaboratively with other allied health professionals, such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, and medical doctors, to deliver holistic and personalized care. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests to identify musculoskeletal issues. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, including osteopathic manipulative therapy (OMT) techniques, lifestyle advice, and exercise recommendations. Provide hands-on treatment for a range of conditions including musculoskeletal pain, joint dysfunctions, sports injuries, postural problems, and stress-related conditions. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary. Educate patients on self-care techniques, posture correction, exercise routines, and injury prevention. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care and achieve optimal outcomes. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with health regulations and professional standards. Stay up-to-date with current research, techniques, and best practices in osteopathy and allied health. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Osteopathy or equivalent qualification recognized by [Insert Country’s Osteopathic Authority or Regulatory Body]. Registered or licensed with [Insert regulatory body or relevant certification board]. Strong understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy, biomechanics, and pathology. Experience in assessing and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Desirable Skills: Experience working in a multidisciplinary allied health team. Postgraduate training or certification in specialized osteopathic techniques. Knowledge of rehabilitation exercises and patient-centered care principles. Experience working with diverse populations, including elderly patients, athletes, and those with chronic pain.
