Develop strategies to increase sales turnoverof fuel, in-store products, and services, ensuring the ongoing financial viability of the business. Implement and maintain effective cash handling, EFTPOS, and banking systems, and review operational processes to minimise errors or losses. Prepare financial, operational, and staff performance reportsfor the business owner and recommend improvements to operational efficiency. Organise and oversee promotional campaigns, loyalty programs, and in-store marketing activities, ensuring compliance with business policies. Manage and monitor inventory levels of fuel, shop products, and supplies, including ordering and stock rotation to prevent shortages or wastage. Oversee customer service standardsat the counter, forecourt, and in-store, ensuring complaints are resolved promptly and professionally. Identify current and future customer needsby maintaining strong relationships with regular clients and community members. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate employees, including cashiers, forecourt attendants, and store assistants, and manage rostering to maintain operational efficiency. Ensure the workplace, forecourt, and storecomply with Occupational Health and Safety standards, including safe handling of fuel, hazardous substances, and cleaning procedures. Monitor equipment and facility maintenance, including pumps, tanks, refrigeration units, and point-of-sale systems, liaising with contractors as needed. Implement operational procedures and workflow systems*to ensure smooth daily operations across the fuel station and retail store. Work Experience and Skills Relevant qualifications Minimum of 1 year experience, preferably in a managerial role Strong attention to detail and quick learning ability Knowledge and adherence to OHS standards Strategic and innovative mindset with excellent communication skills Exceptional leadership qualities, able to engage and motivate teams Salary The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $70,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation , based on a 38-hour work week.
