DevOps Engineer - Kubernetes & Platform Modernization Permanent Position Hybrid WFH - Melbourne Based A high-growth FinTech company is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join its Platform Team. This role is pivotal in driving platform modernization and containerization initiatives, with a strong focus on building and managing Kubernetes environments. What You’ll Do Contribute to the design, build, and ongoing improvement of a Kubernetes-based containerization platform Support modernization initiatives, migrating legacy systems to scalable, cloud-native infrastructure Work hands-on with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Docker, and automation frameworks Collaborate closely with development, security, and operations teams in a fast-paced, agile environment Champion best practices for deployment automation, reliability, and security What We’re Looking For Around 4 years of DevOps experience , including hands-on work with containers and Kubernetes Proven experience deploying, managing, and optimizing containerized workloads Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills – Terraform or similar Sound understanding of CI/CD pipelines , automation, and cloud-native tooling Familiarity with security, monitoring, and performance tuning within Kubernetes environments Background in FinTech or large-scale application environments advantageous The Offer Salary: $160K base super (flexible depending on experience) Hybrid work: 3 days in the Melbourne CBD office (required) Continuous learning opportunities with a professional development budget Work with a high-performing team building modern infrastructure that supports real-time financial services Must be Melbourne-based with Australian PR or Citizenship.
