Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: leading the development and implementation of care and quality governance frameworks aligned with regulatory standards driving a culture of continuous improvement through effective quality systems and risk mitigation strategies monitoring care-related risks and overseeing performance across safety and quality systems providing clear and timely reporting to stakeholders, including the governing body supporting and educate employees in care governance principles, fostering awareness and capability preparing the organisation for quality accreditation audits and ensure readiness About you To be considered for this rewarding role you will have: demonstrated ability to lead with purpose and clarity, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement demonstrated experience leading teams commitment to ongoing learning in areas of work familiarity with audit tools and reporting formats such that reports can be prepared in multiple formats to enhance understanding. working knowledge of enterprise risk frameworks (highly desirable ) skilled in interpreting regulatory frameworks and translating them into practical, organisation-wide governance systems proven ability to mentor and empower others, building capability in care governance across all levels of the organisation navigating complex challenges with a calm, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to best practice excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including presentation skills a demonstrated high level of attention to detail with a consistent approach a demonstrated ability to prioritise conflicting priorities as required ability to work under minimal supervision with the capacity to exercise initiative in the application of work processes and procedures and establish objectives and outcomes high level organisational, administrative and project management skills Role requirements bachelor's degree in related field significant experience in oversighting/monitoring care governance/quality and safety systems in a community health organisation demonstrated experience in planning and implementing a quality management system in a community health organisation occasional out of hours work may be required from time to time some travel to selectability sites may be required from time to time a Child Safety & Personal History Screening check a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain) NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain) NDIS Worker Orientation Module "Quality, Safety & You" completion certificate (or the ability to obtain) a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland drivers licence About the offer The care governance manager is a permanent fulltime position based in Townsville.
