General Medicine Advanced Trainee Registrar Teaching & Public Hospital – Victoria Eligible IMGs Encouraged to Apply The Position This is an outstanding opportunity to join one of Victoria’s largest hospitals as a General Medicine Advanced Trainee Registrar. You will work closely with one of three inpatient general medical teams: Gastroenterology, Neurology/Renal, or Endocrinology. Each team includes Interns, HMOs, and a Basic Physician Trainee (BPT). Key features include: Daily consultant-led ward rounds, with opportunities to lead under supervision depending on experience. Management of complex and undifferentiated acute medical cases in the Acute Medical Unit. Diverse exposure to acute and chronic medical conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Hours per fortnight: 86 (inclusive of 10 hours training time) Employment Status: Full-time, 12-month Registrar position commencing February 2026 400 bed teaching hospital and the principal referral centre for the region. Services include emergency, maternity, medical imaging, pathology, rehabilitation, psychiatry, aged care, cardiology, oncology, renal dialysis, and more. IMG candidates assessed by RACP as partially or substantially comparable. 5. Experience working as a General Medicine Registrar.
