This position would suit someone who is up for a new career challenge and is looking to take ownership of the day to day activities of an operational team. As a Leading Hand, you will play an essential role in leadership, quality control and supporting our service operations. As a Leading Hand, you will be responsible for: Follow and comply with Epiroc policies and procedures and maintain a high safety standard at all timesIdentify and coordinate parts required for works and responsible for inwards/outwards goodsMentoring and on the job coaching for ApprenticesAssist with the supervision of day to day workshop operationsCarry out planning of toolbox and pre-start meetings, and execute actions as designatedOversee works and liaise with Supervisors on progressMonitor allocated registers and assist with various reporting and document supportOversee branch inventory in accordance with company policy consistent with contract requirements and regular stock level reviewsSupport the upkeep of the yard structure and layoutHelp maintain a culture which encourages teamwork and collaboration The successful applicant will ideally have: Mechanical trade qualificationsLeadership experience/ability and exceptional interpersonal communication skills.Extensive experience in the maintenance/breakdown repairs of surface/underground mining equipmentDemonstrated hydraulic, pneumatic, Can bus & low voltage electrical diagnostics experienceLF Forklift with Rigging and Dogging licences highly recommendedPositive attitude and autonomous self-management abilityProficient computer literacyA valid driver's licenseYou must be a strong team player with a positive attitude and commitment to all areas of service operations.
