We’re seeking a passionate and experienced credit or collections professional to join our Finance Operations team in Melbourne on a parental leave coverage contract through the end of 2026. In this role as Credit Officer, you’ll work closely with the Team Leader to enhance collection performance, optimise cash flow, and strategically reduce debtor balances and days outstanding to meet key financial targets. Key responsibilities Lead proactive collection activities with clients across Australia and internationally, always aligned with the firm’s credit policy Drive down debtor days and balances to optimise financial performance Deliver fast, effective support to internal and external clients, especially in resolving disputes with professionalism Perform accurate reconciliation of client accounts to maintain financial clarity Empower internal teams with guidance and support to accelerate debt recovery Assess credit risk for new and existing clients to ensure sound financial decisions Uphold and enforce compliance with the firm’s Credit Procedures Collaborate with the National Finance Operations Manager to refine and evolve credit policies and practices in line with business growth Required qualifications and preferred experience Minimum of two years credit/collection experience gained within a professional services environment Highly competent with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel Experience with CMS or similar Finance software Required skills and personal attributes Positive and proactive approach to customer and client service Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent attention to detail Highly organised with the ability to prioritise competing tasks Well-developed problem solving skills At Corrs, we help you achieve your ambition - at every stage of your career.
