Join Our Team as a Fabricator/Welder We are seeking a proficient Fabricator/Welder to join our Workshop team. Key Responsibilities: • Perform welding tasks on mild steel using MIG and MMAW • Fabricate steelwork and metalworks assemblies and components according to fabrication drawings and weld procedure specifications. • Qualify in multiple weld procedures with different weld positions, steel grades, welding methods and weld types • Operate and maintain welding equipment, tools, and machinery. • Collaborate with workshop team and weld coordinator to complete projects on schedule • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment. • Follow quality procedures including record keeping and traceability. • Troubleshoot and resolve welding and fabrication issues as they arise in a pro-active manner. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Fabricator/Welder, with a strong portfolio of completed projects. • Minimum 3-5 years of fabrication and welding experience is required. • Proficiency in MIG and MMAW techniques • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld procedures. • Solid understanding of metal properties, fabrication processes, and welding methods. • Ability to undertake fillet and butt welds in horizontal vertical and overhead positions • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors. • Commitment to safety and quality and adherence to company protocols. • Relevant certifications and training in welding and fabrication. i.e. Certificate 3, AS 1796, AWCR Registration. • Strong preference for stainless steel fabrication experience including TIG proficiency • Australian work rights are essential for this position.
