About the Role: We have an exciting permanent, full time, vacancy for a Store Design and Experience Lead to join our Salvos Stores team! We are open to applications across all states. The Store Design and Experience Lead is responsible for designing and delivering engaging, brand-aligned retail environments that maximize customer and donor connection, operational efficiency, and mission surplus. You will lead end-to-end store design and transformations, collaborate across internal teams and external partners, and drive data-informed, innovative in-store experiences that elevate Salvos Stores’ future. Key Responsibilities: Translate CX strategy into customer-centric, multi-sensory in-store experiences aligned with brand storytelling (physical, digital, and sensory elements) Use customer feedback, journey mapping, behavioural data, and retail trends to inform store design decisions to keep Salvos Stores innovative and competitive Develop and evolve store design standards and guidelines to ensure consistent execution across the network Collaborate with CX, Marketing & Brand, Operations, Retail, and WHS to support brand storytelling, community impact, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and safety Lead store design delivery from concept to launch with support from the Store Design and Experience Administrator, stakeholders, and vendors using recognised project management methodologies Co-design and oversee implementation of visual merchandising and other store guidelines guidelines Measure design/launch effectiveness against ROI and KPIs (foot traffic, sales uplift, social engagement, staff and customer feedback) Champion sustainability and cost-effectiveness in materials, design, and operations About You: Relevant qualification (diploma or similar) in project management (PRINCE2, AgilePM, PMP, Six Sigma, or equivalent) OR Proven project management experience in a retail or similar environment Demonstrated leadership, people management, and interpersonal skills Proven ability to influence and drive change across all levels to achieve outcomes Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget Ability to work with financial data and make informed business decisions Proficiency in CAD, Excel (and other standard design/project tools) Experience in store design, visual merchandising, and activation planning for multi-format retail (desirable) Why Work For Us: Eligible employees can access NFP Salary Packaging (up to $15,900 tax free) plus meals and entertainment benefit ($2,650) Generous paid Parental Leave for primary (12 weeks) and secondary carers Purchased Leave Scheme (up to 8 weeks) Workplace Support Leave (5 days) for volunteering in Salvos initiatives Flexible and hybrid WFH arrangements, access to Fitness Passport and Consumer Discounts Access to EAP and health & wellness initiatives Ongoing training and development opportunities that enhance on the job skills and proficiency Rewarding and fulfilling purpose driven careers that have positive and sustainable social impacts How to Apply: We are looking for compassionate people who share our mission and values, if you have the passion and drive to commit yourself to a challenging and rewarding role; we invite you to apply via the link and submit a current CV and a cover letter which details your alignment with the essential requirements of the role.
