About the role: An exciting opportunity exists for an Education Consultant to join Victoria Police's People Development Command (PDC). The Command plays a vital role in building the skills, capabilities, and confidence of Victoria Police employees to lead and positively influence the community. Through the delivery of comprehensive training and ongoing development programs, PDC supports police officers, Protective Services Officers (PSOs), Police Custody Officers (PCOs) and Victorian Public Servants (VPS) from their initial induction through every stage of their career. The Education Consultant is part of a team which focuses on administering the Victoria Police Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that delivers nationally recognised accredited training qualifications to Victoria Police employees. Located within the Quality Education Unit and reporting to the RTO Advisor, this role supports Centres of Learning to deliver high quality training courses. It is responsible for several compliance functions and supports the RTO to meet AQTF Essential Conditions and Standards. The unit is situated within Quality Education Division, alongside other teams who provide advice and services relating to the education of Victoria Police employees. The position provides an opportunity for a dedicated practitioner with experience in RTO compliance to take the next step in their career with a truly unique RTO. Your duties will include: Providing advice to Centres of Learning regarding the design, development and updating of training and assessment materials. Compliance monitoring to ensure Centres of Learning are meeting Victorian Registration and Qualification Authority (VRQA) standards. Coordination of auditing, moderation and validation functions of accredited curriculum. About You: The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience: Experience working for an RTO and knowledge of VRQA/AQTF standards. Attention to detail when conducting audits and keeping records. Ability to interact and communicate with a broad range of stakeholders. A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience using databases and/or management systems. Holds a TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline would be highly regarded. Further Information: One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
