About the work unit / facility The Ayr Health Service is a 28-bed rural health service and offers general medical, surgical, obstetric and emergency services. Pharmacy, radiology, and mental health services are also provided. Primary health care services delivered in Ayr include: child and youth health, community liaison, chronic disease, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, occupational therapy, oral health, physiotherapy, school-based youth health, social work and speech pathology. Visiting services include aged care assessment team, respiratory, community paediatrics, general surgery and endoscopy. (f/t) (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1) 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation Plus great Salary Sacrificing options About your opportunity The Clinical Nurse (CN) is a nurse who is licensed to practice nursing without supervision and who assumes accountability and responsibility for their own actions and acts to rectify unsafe nursing practice and/or professional conduct. The CN provides direct nursing care utilising clinical skills, education and support to patients/clients and nursing staff within the unit to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care. Requirements: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position and registration with AHPRA. Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
