About your role As a Senior Dental Assistant, you'll play a key leadership role in ensuring high standards of patient care, infection control, and team performance within the Metro South Community and Oral Health Service.You'll work closely with clinicians, lead and mentor dental assistants, and support the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the clinic. Key responsibilities: Deliver high-quality dental assisting services in general and specialist care. Maintain infection control, sterilisation, and clinical safety standards. Provide leadership, direction, and mentoring for dental assistants. Coordinate staff, workflow, and resources to meet service targets. Support recruitment, performance management, and staff development. Contribute to service improvement, patient safety, and quality initiatives. About you You're a confident and skilled dental assistant with strong leadership and organisational skills. You bring professionalism, teamwork, and a patient-first attitude to everything you do. You will have: Certificate in Dental Assisting (mandatory). Demonstrated knowledge of sterilizing services (AS/NZS 4187). Strong leadership and team coordination skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proven ability to prioritise, problem-solve and work autonomously. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Current Working with Children Blue Card and Class C driver's licence.
