Your new role: As an Information Access Officer, you will play a key role in facilitating access to information across Metro South Health in accordance with relevant legislation and policy frameworks. You'll ensure timely and compliant processing of requests from internal and external clients. In this role you will:  Manage and respond to requests for health and employee information under various Acts including the Right to Information Act 2009 and Hospital and Health Boards Act 2011.  Review and collate documents, interpret legislation, and determine appropriate access mechanisms.  Liaise with applicants, legal representatives, and internal departments to ensure accurate and timely release of information.  Maintain data integrity across databases and support continuous improvement initiatives within the Information Access Unit. You thrive in a dynamic environment and bring strong organisational and communication skills to your work. To succeed in this role, you will have:  Demonstrated experience providing high-quality, client-focused information or administrative services.  Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict legislative timeframes.  Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.  Sound knowledge of, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of, information access legislation, confidentiality requirements, and medical terminology.
