About us: Rockhampton Hospital is a 305-bed facility and is the main referral hospital for Central Queensland. Specialist Medical Services include Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Cardiology, Renal Medicine, Palliative Care, Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, Geriatric Medicine, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, ENT, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Intensive Care and Anaesthesia. There are also a range of clinical services provided on a visiting basis from tertiary hospitals in Queensland. A new Cancer Care Unit provides care for local patients, with state-of-the-art equipment and services. About the role: The Department of Medicine provides Internal medicine services for the Rockhampton Hospital and surrounding health service including Gladstone, Emerald and Biloela. The Department has an allocation of 32 medical beds, 8 '48 hour' beds, 5 coronary care beds, 9 palliative care beds (including chemotherapy) and outpatient clinics each week. About you: Assist the Director of Medicine, Rockhampton Hospital, with the organisation, management and provision of Specialist General Medicine Services. To provide professional leadership to medical staff within the department, and to be an active contributor to the multidisciplinary patient care team. What we offer: Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $543,581 p.a. is comprised of:  A salary rate between $215,078 - $249,046 p.a. (L18-L24)  A salary rate between $256,246 - $271,430 p.a.
