Remote Retention allowance of $750 Access to Anyinginyi Health Clinic, with Prescriptions Free General Dentistry We are currently looking for a Financial Manager to lead our Finance team at Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation, an organisation enacting real change to close the gap in Aboriginal Health outcomes. About the Role The Finance Manager will be responsible for providing high level financial support to the Executive Manager Business Services Section and where instructed, also to the other Executive Managers. The Finance Manager must pro-actively build the financial capacity of the organisation as well as the financial management skills of all Executive Managers, external providers and employees who use our financial management programs. The Finance Manager is to work with the Executive Manager Business Services to maintain robust and transparent financial management, accountable to our members and funding bodies. The position works closely with fellow Finance Team members in maintaining holistic high-quality financial services. In this role, some of your responsibilities may include: Overseeing the efficient and timely operations of the finance team Reconciling asset additions/replacements from asset register to general ledger. Reconciling and monitoring expenses and preparing monthly P&L. Reconciliation of GST for the BAS statement Over-see payroll process with the senior finance officer including reconciling payroll clearing accounts. Over-see reconciliation of salary sacrifice accounts and FBT. Assisting the Finance Team to prepare Month end Financial Reports. Prepare quarterly reports to the Executive Manger Business Services. Preparation of Budgets and other Financial Reports. Processing and analyses of key financial documents including revenue, expenditures, and cash flows, and accounts in coordination with the Executive Manger Business Services. Prepare necessary balance sheet schedule for yearend. Prepare Financial Acquittals First Draft. Lead the Finance Team to prepare yearend audit schedule and liaising with auditors. Promote an environment of Ethical and Honest practices, client satisfaction and caring, financial responsibility, community and social commitment. Set mutually agreed goals, objectives and performance measures for the position, identifying Key Performance Areas as part of an annual review processes. About You Maintain a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a minimum of 2 years. Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal societies and cultures and an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander in contemporary Australian society. Respect for traditional Aboriginal culture and cultural diversity and the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal/culturally diverse people. Demonstrated ability and experience in the development, maintenance and implementation of budgets for a variety of different operational areas, as well as consolidated organisation wide budgets and cash flow forecasts. Ability to understand and report actual fund flows versus budgeted and any variances. Ability to assist in the preparation of financial statements that are accurate, concise and easily interpreted by non-financial personnel. Demonstrated experience guiding and working in a team, building the capacity of colleagues in financial management and accounting. Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills with ability to liaise with people from a variety of backgrounds, self-motivation and time management skills Experience with computer-based accounting programs. Advance knowledge working with EXCEL. Current NT Motor Vehicle License or the ability to obtain one. Be in possession of or have the ability to obtain an OCHRE Card (Working with Children) Tertiary qualifications in business finance or equivalent / or willing to obtain.
