Full-time Contract 37.5 hours per week Aboriginal identified role $120,451 - $129,343 per annum Total Effective Package $148,750 - $159,889 About the role The Clinical Educator provides clinical support and training in a clinic environment and coordinates professional development while fostering a mentor role across Congress Clinics including assessment and demonstration of clinical procedures and best practice in client centred care. The position facilitates clinical placements for nursing and allied health students and supports graduate Aboriginal Health Practitioners (AHP) and Nurses by providing on-the-job clinical and career development support in town and remote clinics for practice within the Aboriginal Primary Health Care clinical environment. Occasional travel to our Congress remote Clinics is an inherent requirement of the position – most of the Clinical training is delivered/coordinated in Alice Springs. To be considered for this position, you will require: Registered as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and able to conduct clinical care in the primary health care setting; Demonstrated experience with mentoring and supporting health professional students or graduate nurses through the complexities of clinical placement and meeting registration requirements. Able to demonstrate extensive experience working in a primary health care setting in particular Aboriginal community-controlled health services. Excellent communication skills, in particular the ability to communicate sensitively in a cross-cultural environment with Aboriginal clients and staff Proven broad range of clinical skills and knowledge, with the ability to model high quality clinical care as part of the multidisciplinary team and share this knowledge with a diverse range of people; Current C class NT Driver License and appropriate level of health and fitness to travel to remote community clinics as required.
