Job Description As a Psychologist within our Primary Health Services team, you will deliver high-quality psychological support and intervention, promoting mental health and wellbeing for detainees in our care. You will take the lead in developing and implementing the Psychological Support Program Framework and ensuring care aligns with best-practice mental health standards. This role is part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, where your expertise will directly contribute to improving outcomes and promoting holistic wellbeing. Located in Northam. Day to day! Develop and implement the Psychological Support Program Framework, incorporating trauma-informed and culturally sensitive practices. Provide individual and group-based treatment. Conduct comprehensive assessments. Collaborate with medical, allied health, and operational teams to deliver integrated care. Contribute to policy and procedure development for psychological support services. Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation and reports. Holds a general registration in Psychology or endorsement in Clinical or Forensic Psychology or with current AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, and bring at least five years of post-graduate experience, ideally within a diverse or multicultural environment. You have a strong understanding of trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic approaches, along with excellent communication, assessment, and teamwork skills.
